Paper selection and publication process –

Authors can submit articles for publication on SIRJHSS Journal at any time. Authors can send them on the online submission section of the Journal.

SIRJHSS Journal is committed to maintaining originality, ethics and quality in its publications; hence authors should maintain originality, ethics and quality in their articles and should also avoid plagiarism, copying, duplication of publications etc. Authors should give proper credit to various references so that any conflict of interest can be avoided.

This journal takes full care of transparency and time in the publication process from paper selection, payment of article processing fee and peer review till the article is published. Suitable manuscripts are published on the journal’s website to the author within four to fifteen weeks of receipt.

The article selection and publishing process is as follows –

Articles submission

Articles on the SIRJHSS Journal can be submitted by authors for publication on the online submission section of the Journal at any time. Authors should read the journal’s policies, copyright agreement, template, and author guidelines before submitting an article. Articles should be prepared according to the journal manuscript template. The author should submit all the required documents like plagiarism report of the article, copyright agreement form etc. For non-English articles, a PDF file of the manuscript must be submitted.

Submission Acknowledgment – ​​

An acknowledgment e-mail confirmation is sent to the author on the submitter’s email address within Two to Five working days of online submission of the manuscript. If acknowledgment confirmation e-mail is not received, please check your email or contact: sirjhss.sri@gmail.com

Basic Review –

The editor does a basic review of the manuscript within Two to Five working days to see whether the manuscript is in accordance with the focus and scope of the journal. The similarity rate and plagiarism are then checked by the software. The manuscript is accepted if found suitable, otherwise the manuscript found outside the scope of the journal or found to be plagiarized is rejected.

Payment of Article Processing Fee –

Editor After basic checking of the manuscript, if the submission is accepted, then the author of the paper is asked to pay the article processing fee. The peer review process begins within Two to Five working days after the author pays the article processing fee.

Publication process cancelled (in absence of APC payment)-

If the fee is not paid by the author within Five days of sending the payment email, a final warning email and message is sent. Even after that, if payment is not made within Three days, the manuscript publishing process is cancelled and an acknowledgment of cancellation is emailed to the author.

Peer review process –

A double secret review system is used for peer review; In which the author’s information is not given to the reviewers. The accepted manuscript is reviewed by two experts, an editorial member and an external reviewer whose identity is not revealed. The review process may take two to six weeks.

Selection and appointment of reviewers –

The editor selects expert reviewers related to the field of the manuscript. Reviewers are experts who are knowledgeable about the subject of the manuscript. Reviewers are not informed about the author.

Conflict of interest –

Reviewers do not have any conflict of interest towards the authors due to the fact that they are unaware of the authors, however, if there is any potential conflict towards the manuscript, it should be disclosed so that the editor can appoint an alternative reviewer.

Selection of the first reviewer

Within two to seven working days of payment of the article processing fee, the editor selects the first reviewer related to the field of the manuscript and assigns him the responsibility of reviewing the manuscript. Reviewers are not given author information.

Criteria for Review –

Reviewers, based on their expertise, assess the originality of the manuscript, data quality, analysis, conclusions and contribution of the outcomes to policy making, which is the major evaluation criteria of the review process.

Report of first reviewer –

Within seven to fifteen working days of receipt of the manuscript, the first reviewer sends his report to the editor after evaluating the manuscript and recommends making necessary amendments or publishing the manuscript.

Selection of the second reviewer –

The editor, within three to five working days of receipt of the review report of the first reviewer, selects the second expert reviewer and is given the responsibility of double review of the same manuscript. Information about the first review and the author is not given to the second reviewer.

Report of second reviewer –

Within seven to twelve working days of receipt of the manuscript, the second reviewer sends his report to the editor after evaluating the manuscript and recommends making necessary amendments or publishing the manuscript.

Correction, formatting and recommendation –

Based on the reports of the first reviewer and the second reviewer, within three to seven working days of receipt by the editor, the manuscript is modified if necessary, otherwise it is selected for publication in the fixed publication of the journal. According to the format, the manuscript is formatted and sent for publication along with necessary information about the author.

Final selection for publication –

Manuscripts are included in the journal’s published issue within three to seven working days of receipt in journal format for publication by the editor.

Publication – 

 All formatted manuscripts included in the issue are published by the editor on the journal’s website.
